Judging by your original post and all replies after this all seems like cope for something. How so many people in this thread defend this take is beyond me.

People using addons or mods to change the appearance of their game doesn’t hurt you in any way. Neither does parsing on a fundamental level. Players using third party tools to harass others is both rare and massively frowned upon, as well as being a very easy path to a ban. Why can’t you just let people enjoy things that differ from how what you enjoy when it affects you in virtually no way?

You mention having issues with statics demanding third party tools like parsers before accepting new members. This isn’t as black and white as you make it out to be. Not every static requires you to show logs or use a parser, and those that do tend to do so because they want to be in the very top in terms of damage, speed and rankings. Why is this so frowned upon? As long as they’re not harassing anyone using these tools why does it matter so much? If a static demands third party tools to be used and you disagree with such practices then the easy solution is to just find another static. Not to mention that statics tend to play by these rules because they’re supposed to be for people who want a little more out of their raiding experience than the coinflip you get in party finder.

All in all this whole thread is just a vent about something that affects literally no one but the person using the addons, and doesn’t warrant this kind of absurd apocalyptic view on the decisions of other people simply because you don’t like to use them yourself.
