good job, but i still think it should not be possible to do it like this.
getting 5 blm's with over 370-400+INT isnt easy, but its needed for this to work.

This information is incorrect. Yesterday, I was able to emulate (thought this was the proper word considering Thaum's past) Legacy's strategy with two different linkshells. In both cases, all five of the BLMs had an intelligence of sub 360. In one group, only three of the BLMs actually had double melds, and one was only using double melds of Tier III int materia (+24 on head and brand, +12 on legs) while the other (myself) had only the equivalent of a double IV int hat, double IV int pants, and a double IV acc. scepter.
The important thing in this fight is making sure you don't get resisted, the rotation of your BLM spells, the timing of your abilities, the timing of BV while using convert to maximize MP gain, and knowing when to both rest MP and when to burn through your MP to take it down.
To be fair, though, both of the kills only occurred after Garuda had teleported and was readying AF. So it was VERY close. But the notion or concept that 370-380 Int is a requirement is not true. Additionally, both groups could probably continue to optimize the fight through better spell/ability rotations to increase the kill speed so that it could be done before the teleport into astral occurs.
P.S. Thank you to both Darth Taru and Lux Aeterna for taking the time to talk to me about how to stagger nukes through the first to second teleports to extend the time before Astral Flow occurs. The strategy is incredibly clever, even if it will probably only last the duration of Golden Week =P.

I can see this getting adjusted, while its good for proof of concept, tbh part of me hopes they hugely buff her magic defence or evasion and make BLM useless for the fight, The age of the BLM is over, the time of the melee is about to begin.
You can just as well do it with melee, the problem is not what type of damage, it's the amount of damage that can be dealt during her long charge up time for AF. Nerfing a particular type of damage does not solve it, it's the mechanism/behavior that need to be adjusted.

A testament to the dedication and hard work on Dynasty/Legacy members part. We had all set aside time, geared up, had foods meds and a strat the night when Garuda came out. We were first on the server to enter and subsequently got boned by maint. The next go round, Garuda looked like she would go down, when again maint. Fatiuge, work schedules etc likley cost us the server first as our respected DM friends took Garuda down. Rather than be disheartened Legacy stepped it up knocked out Graruda, and then continued to improve.

and Roc (you SOB that should have been me on Bard but I was working Q Q)
It doesn't matter if they hot fix it or not, I applaud the effort and consumate stratigist style in you all!
Nicely done.

Sorry I have to ask after you get the geared BLMs what skill is there in spam thunder/thundara combo fast retarget resume? There is no skill in it, just get the gear.

Because ya know timing and casting spells other than thunder and thundara play no role what so ever in that fight.
Removed due to size restrictions and possible seizures risks.
I think you are confusing strategy with ease of execution. Highly skilled people pull off very difficult things and make it look easy, very smart people devise stratagies for difficult problems. I don't think the presumed simplicity of the execution detracts from the stratagey, it in my mind, enhances it.
