You know people are allowed a FC room and they're not selling out unless it's a huge FC and they exceed over 500 members and everyone buys a room. People are also allowed an apartment per server and those who elect to get them are doing what is permitted. This constant attempt to assign blame "snapping up" an apartment is within the rules and there is NO BLAME to assign to anyone who has done so. It doesn't matter if they own a house or not.

The constant attempt to try and demonize people here gets really old.

It's on SE for not adding additional apartments which they said they would do when and if they filled. There is no demolition with apartment because the resource was supposed to be unlimited. Don't blame the users blame the developers for not coming forth with what they promised.

There are a lot of things that aren't against the rules but are still pretty lame to do, and given how defensive certain people get over it: I'd wager they know they're abusing the spirit of the rules and being excessively selfish and don't like that fact being pointed out. People generally are madder at the system rather than the individuals: but literal years of trying to get the system to change hasn't worked. The least people could do is not look at a broken system and go "lmao let's see how much I can get away with" followed up by crying big tears about how mean people are when other people are like "not cool".

No they're not lame and you're not the morality broker. SE sets the limits on what people are allowed to do and certainly buying a FC room and an apartment in addition to a private home are well within what is accepted and encouraged by the development team. Users are also allowed to buy homes on other servers and Data Centers. If that was something that wasn't allowed or encouraged they wouldn't have set the rules that way. Sorry if they didn't check with you first to be sure it was ok.

I'm not personally affronted. I'm just calling you out. You are not the litmus test for peoples behavior so get over yourself. Your ranting about people who followed the rules is pretty lame.

You don't like the rules get SE to change them. There are new rules coming with 6.1 most likely and when they are implemented users will in fact have to follow them and heaven forbid they follow the rules and you don't agree with them. You'll be calling them out as well.

I'm sorry, what? Are you saying people are able to buy houses on servers that their character isn't based on, so someone with a character on Tonberry could buy on Kujata with that same character, or someone from the Crystal DC can buy on Aether? Did I read that correctly?

They can if they have a character based on that server. And no you cannot buy a house, purchase an apartment or join a FC on a server you are not resident on. Users are currently allowed one FC and one private house per server. Will that change with new rules in 6.1 personally given the growth of the game and SE's apparent inability to meet user demand I wouldn't be surprised to see those rules changed and have housing limited to one personal and one FC per account.

We will hear soon enough what those new rules are going to be hopefully soon after xpac is released.

Out of curiosity, is Cactuar out of apartments, too? If not, why are you morality policing this? The only server I know of that's sold out is Balmung. And that's on SE who isn't fixing the problem, not on people buying apartments. Against the spirit of the rule? LOL ok. What spirit? Where did the devs say apartments should only be bought by people who have no other housing and no one else?

Apartments were specifically for anyone who could not get a house. Since houses are limited to one per server for account, I'd argue that includes alts.

They are only running out on Balmung. That is a unique problem to one server. No other server has this problem. Its not a flaw in the design. Still, I'd like to see more apartments allowed, because its not like its difficult what with them being instanced.
