Statement:
We have deduced that the Warrior of Light is a massive issue. Their very existence has caused the death and suffering of millions, if not billions, everywhere they go and every society they touch. Everything in the story and the world revolves around them and their weirdo responses like: *nod while grinning*, *punch fist into palm of other hand*, *lean forward and look standoffish*, or a fake unvoiced dialogue that is never even a true choice and it's just saying the same thing but with different words.

1. The WoL is a Black Hole Sue
The main character of every single expansion, WoL, is such a Mary Sue and it hogs up all of the story. They can't do anything on their own ever, always needing guidance or someone else to come up with clever ideas because they're literally mute 99% of the time and dumb AF. "Hear, feel, think" are not within the capacities of the average WoL, nor the players. Why Hydaelyn chose us is because she's a dumbass crystal and crystals should not be making decisions, look at what happens!

2. False Marketing
We were told that this story is about us, but all the time, the story and voicelines are taken up by others far more competent and capable than our character. We are neither smart, nor naturally strong. The only benefit we have is "we are chosen". Absolutely 0 strength for ourselves. And this weak incompetency is not even explored in the story. WoL has no will of their own. Literally the only thing we do is cosplay as a dog that is sicced at stuff by people that have adopted us as their pet.

3. Awful MSQ design
The MSQ objectives of every single expansion is to go to A, then B, then C, then D, and so forth. With 'fun' content like a cutscene of 50 minutes, walk 5 feet, to talk to some blonde barbie like Y'shtola, and voila that's another 50 minute cutscene, and some IRL crying if you're a wuss (like me). At best we get to do some monster killing or a solo duty but this is rare, because designing interactive content is far more difficult than railroading the incompetent WoL (and the incapable players behind them) to do actual content where they have to use their own brain.


Conclusion: please just kill off the WoL and let the actual heroes, like Wuk Lamat, do the job instead of this lame excuse for some self-insert for player's own power fantasies to be the center of attention when they absolutely don't deserve it.

The Warrior of Light is stronger than everyone else they come across, and while they sometimes asks for help, they always win and prove that in the end they carried the whole team.

I vote that the Warrior of Light becomes gender locked to male.

It's obvious to me that allowing the Warrior of Light to even be female is clearly a political push by the WOKE AGENDA to portray the hero as an independent FEMALE who can do no wrong, stands up and is more capable and stronger than the patriarch warmongers. Is it any coincidence that most of the big bad villains of expanions are MEN?! It's even worse in the new expansion, where everyone acts as if this WOMAN is stronger than everyone around her. It's a total Mary Sue fantasy!

ALL Warriors of Light should be changed to male following the next big update. All this politics in games is unnaceptable. I play games to escape reality, not be fed propaganda, gash darnit!

This has brought me to tears. Even as I type this, I struggle to see clearly, but I just had to say how touching this post is. It's truly moving. Probably the most wholesome shit I ever read on this forum. Thank you for sharing this.
