Controller won't work anymore on ps4 ffXIV

Hello. I've been playing on ps4 for about a month and decided to try mouse and keyboard. I went into devices on ps4 > controllers > communication method and changed it from Bluetooth to USB for the mouse. The mouse then began working on ffxiv. I decided to go back to controller. Turned off my ps4. Turned it back on, disconnected the mouse and keyboard, went back into settings > controllers > communication method changed it from USB back to Bluetooth but my controller now will not work for ffxiv. It works for anything else, but upon launching ff14 I have to set the misue back up to even log into the game. I've searched online for an hour and can find no situations similar. First time having to leave a post like this. Any help would be appreciated.

We would like to further troubleshoot your issue with the controller on Playstation 4:

Are you using an official Sony controller or 3rd party controller?
Have you tried using the controller wired to see if the same issue occurs?
Have you attempted to use a different controller for testing?
Have you reset the Playstation 4 back to factory default settings to see if the issue still happens? Note that you will need to reinstall the game as a result.
Check your any updates to the Playstation 4 and update it as needed.
