Black Mage dps to low to compensate for lack of damage

Damage is to LOW for the GLASS NOT CANNON, for absolute lack of armor and the worlds crappiest teleport ... the fact melee jobs have better ranged attacks and can also silence and bind and slow... Blm has no debuffs (sleep doesnt count since a fly lands 100 miles away and they wake up.). just a gimped lightning attack that other dps laugh at. Either give us armor or more damage to compensate that we can die way to quickly even at full Battle High. Can you make lightning paralyze or something to explain why this is most unbalanced pvp job known.

Frontlines? Because Black Mage has been the strongest ranged for a VERY long time in Feast even though it received slight nerfs earlier in Shadowbringers. PvP is mostly balanced around that and not 1v1 or 72 player battles

NA Feast players starts to realize Black Mage's true potential

If your situation described is about Frontline.
Black Mage is not mean for duel or go solo on the Frontline (you are playing it wrong if that is the case, obviously)
All Black Mage's tool kit is designed for team vs team environment.
Please do some research in order to play this powerful correctly before you complain.

ps. what are you even talking about with armor value? Attributes does not matter in FF14 PvP

Feast has probably a stronger decision on balance for pvp. As it should, being a reward based mode. But It will be interesting to see how balancing will be done with a new mode. I expect them at least at the start to try to get new mode just right and hope other mode work themselves out.

After 4.5, they are not really balance Frontline and Feast on the same scale.
There is active buff of 30% damage reduction for Meele/Tank with another 10% damage increase for Meele for Frontline in order to counter OP Ranges/Casters.
This buff is applied to Frontline only.

I pretty much agree with you (though the AoE is what defines black mage in a lot of ways), melee have unreasonable damage just by being up close and if you're hardcasting you just have absolutely no damage while they do 2, 3, 4 times the damage for free at no cost to survivability. Happens in pretty much every MMO I know after a while, people whine about casters and then they make casters just about cc and being lame.
