I know for sure there's a George and a Ralph.
I know for sure there's a George and a Ralph.
Nald'thal, Nophica, Oschon, Rhalgr, Byregot...
Ascians names are all Greek in origins or inspiration; Gaia, Hades, Artemis ect
Still dying to know Nabrialius and Lahabrea’s real names, Fandaniel I’m convinced will be revealed in 6.0 or 6.3 or even the new raid based on Pandemonium
-True name of Lahabrea likely is Hephaestus, the Greek god of the forge and fire. Makes sense, given how Hephaestus forged weapons for the gods and was the god of fire and Lahabrea forged early concepts of Primals, repurposed them later for weapons, and most of his creations were fire themed (First Phoenix and Ifrita).
-I suspect Azem's name is Prometheus, who gave the power of fire to mankind so they could have light, in defiance of the gods and was outcast for it. Here fire not only symbolizes literal fire, but also hope and light.
-Elidibus's true name could be Asclepius/Ophiuchus greek god of medicine and represented as the serpent bearer for which Zodiark and Elidibus from FFT are referenced by (13th zodiac sign).
I don’t think their names are all Greek, but rather summon or older FF related.
Artemis was a pull from FF8, not necessarily Greek.
Like, I think Elidabus is actually named “Sabik”.
Rabbit hole time:
1) Elibabus of FF12 is associated with the constellation Ophiuchus, which in the real world contains the star, Sabik.
2) The Heart of Sabik is supposively a pre-Allagan device that they could only use as a power source.
3) The heart consumed Aether (primals) and fed Ultima Weapon.
Tin foil hat time…
4) I believe the heart is of Ancient make in an attempt to replace Elidabus as the heart of Zodiark, and possibly make “feeding Zodiark” easier.. as in feed him primals and not necessarily the lives of lesser beings. I don’t think this is Ascian-make, but maybe Venat or Azem.
5) Alternatively, this has nothing to do with Elidabus and was an attempt channel excess aether from “the sound” to stop the nightmare summons.
——
I expect the Ascians, if named, to have big famous and kinda “left field” names. Like Byrnhildr or Balthazar. We have to remember they are starting to run out of main-title references (like the only real summons we haven’t seen are what.. Tritoch and Maduin? Asura?)
Given the nature of The Sound and the flying city art, I would not be surprised to see Chrono Trigger references like Mammon or Melchoir. Or pulls from other SE properties.

Warning Post contains Spoilers for 6.0 and 6.01.
All Ascians that are part of the convocation have Greek Mythical Character Names.
They're Either a Greek God/Goddess or a Greek Titan. You can learn a lot about each of the members of the convocation based on their abilities or based on their personal relations in the game. That said, here are the known ascians, and their true names.
CONVOCATION OF XIV
#1: Mitron: Specialist in the Aetheric Field of Aquatic Life
True Name: Artemis (as revealed in the Eden Raids)
#2: Loghrif: Specialist in the field of Aetheric Terrestrial Life and Husbandry
True Name: Gaia (as revealed in the Eden Raids)
#3: Halmarut: Specialist in Aetheric Fungal and Plant Life.
True Name: Demeter (Unconfirmed)
Reasoning: Demeter is the goddess of fertility, agriculture, and the harvest.
#4: Emmerololth: Specialist in Aetheric Medicine and Healing
True Name: Asclepius (Unconfirmed)
Reasoning: Asclepius is the greek god of medicine. The child of Apollo and the nymph Coronis.
#5: Lahabrea: Specialist in Aetheric Creation Magicks.
True Name: Haphaestus (Unconfirmed)
Reasoning: Ericthonious is a Greek King, who was adopted and raised by Athena. In the 6.01 Raids, Pandaemonium, it's revealed that Lahabrea is Ericthonious' Father, and Athena is his Mother. In Greek Mythology, Athena was married to Haphaestus.
#6: Altima: Advocator for the Arts
True Name: Apollo (Unconfirmed)
Reasoning: Apollo is the Greek god of music, poetry, art, oracles, archery, plague, medicine, sun, light, and, knowledge.
#7: Igeyorhm: Champion of Enlightenment and Rhetoric
True Name: Peitho (unconfirmed)
Reasoning: Peitho is the goddess who personifies persuasion and seduction. Her Roman Equivalent, Suada or Suadela. She is the goddess of charming speech.
#8: Pashtarot: Preserver of Discipline and Order
True Name: Eunomia (Unconfirmed)
Reasoning: Eunomia is the Goddess of Law and Legislation.
#9: Emet-Selch: Keeper of the Aetherial Realm or "Underworld" in the vernacular
True Name: Hades (revealed in Shadowbringers MSQ)
#10: Fandaniel: Pursuer of Extant Phenomena
True Name: Hermes (Revealed in Endwalkers MSQ)
#11: Deudalaphon (Study of Research unknown)
True Name: Unknown
#12: Nabriales: (Study of Research Unknown)
True Name: Kronos
Reasoning: Kronos is the only God/Titan that controls time in all of greek mythology. If you watch the conversation between Minfillia and Nabriales in the Chrysalis, she is shocked to know that he controls time itself, as he puts the player in a pocket time loop of meteors falling forever.
#13: Elidibus: Mediator of Conflict and Surveyor of the People
True Name: Themis (Unconfirmed)
Reasoning: #1 In Game they share the same voice actor. #2: Themis is personification of justice, goddess of wisdom and good council and interpreter of the gods' will.
#14: Azem: Traveler of the World & Counselor of the People
True Name: Unconfirmed
Venat is the former Azem, and her name while not having a greek tie in, is derived from the Latin Word "Venari" which translates in Roman to "Venus" Now Venus the Roman God does have a Greek Tie in, Which is Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Fertility. Venat regularly states that her reason for living are the people and their interactions with each other in a positive manner.
Now since we know almost nothing about the 2 remaining seats. A lot of people keep referencing that Azem "The Current one" is Venat's Successor. But we know not of what Deudalaphon's Role was in the convocation of the 3 Remaining gods. We can only really speculate who or what role they fulfill.
Dionysus/Bacchus: The God of Wine, Fertility, Festivity, Madness and Resurrection.
Hestia: The Goddess of the Hearth, Fire and of the right of ordering of domesticity and the family (The position I feel fits the Azem slot)
Ares: The God of War, Violence, bloodshed and manly virtues.
I think it would be more appropriate to mark those that are purely speculation as such rather than (Unconfirmed). There are a couple that the game has heavily suggested, and I don't think any of us would argue that those two are fair to mark (Unconfirmed) rather than (Speculation). But any hints for the rest are but whispers compared to the screams of those two.
I speak of course ofLahabrea, whom the game has explicitly marked as the father of Erichthonius, and Elidibus, whom we are at least meant to believe is Themis by the selection of voice actor.
That last part is incorrect. Athena was a virgin goddess. Hephaestus was in an unhappy marriage with Aphrodite, who cheated on him numerous times. Hephaestus and Athena are involved in the myth of Ericthonios but not due to being married.#5: Lahabrea: Specialist in Aetheric Creation Magicks.
