What are the ascians true names?

    SPOILER FOR SHADOWBRINGERS:

With the ending of SHB and the reveal of Hades and Artemis, I am even more sure that the convocation are named after the greek gods. Which makes me wonder, what Elidibus and Lahabrea names were. My guess is either Opt1 Zeus(Elidibus) and Poseidon(Lahabrea) or Opt2 Hermes(a litti bus) and Ares (Lahabread)

    Reasons for Opt1

Being the last three, the devs wanted them to reflect the brotherly trio.

Elidibus acting as the leader, while hades played in the shadows and sulked below the earth.

Poseidon for Lahabrea makes a special amount of sense because we know Laha created many creatures including the Pegasus which related directly to Poseidon.

    Reasons for Opt2

Hermes was a messenger god, acting similar to the envoy that Elidibus portrays himself.

Ares because of the constant aggression and body swapping. Emet states that Laha burned through his aether to constantly body swap and rush the rejoining. That seems like Ares energy to me.

I also have no idea what our real name was...maybe Apollo?

Let me know what you guys think.

The Ascians seat names are based on the Scions of Light from FFXII. Emet-Selch is scion of light of death so Hades was his name.

Do you have a different source that one doesn't exist.

Update: I went to the site manually and found the page you sent. No where does this talk about Hades so my question still stands about there true names.

Lohgrif's true name throws a wrench into the whole "named after Greek Gods" thing. Though perhaps the Japanese don't differentiate between the Gods and the Titans. Regardless, there's a whole lot more options on the table than just the Greek Gods.

Sure its not a god but its totally greek still.

Gaea or Gaia is still Greek in origin.

Gaia isn't a Goddess. She's a Titan, the progenitor race of the Gods.

I would argue that you are nitpicking.

" Gaia was the mother of all: the heavenly gods, the Titans and the Giants were born from her union with Uranus (the sky), while the sea-gods were born from her union with Pontus (the sea). The Greek word "γαῖα" (transliterated as gaia or gaea) is a collateral form of "γῆ" meaning Earth. Her equivalent in the Roman pantheon was named Gaea (Terra in more ancient documents). This is alluded to in Final Fantasy IX with the existence of Gaia's twin world."

that sounds like a god of sorts to me personally.

You're the one nitpicking here, and pointlessly at that. What does trying to prove me wrong even accomplish, other than excluding the rest of the Titans as potential names?
