[SPOILERS] I would kind of dig seeing some Primals return...

Well, I guess I'll jump STRAIGHT into spoiler territory, and say it was SUPER dope, seeing new incarnations of the classic Primals during the Eden fights!

But honestly, even though he was completely new to FFXIV, Ravana is probably my single favorite Primal in the game! He looked cool, he had some personality, and I LOVE the initial music theme that plays in his fight (not so much the last phase, which plays on his bird mount).

But I was thinking that, seeing as Ramuh and Ravana both appear to have some amount of sentience, in a way that differs from most primals (most others just mock you, Ravana seemed genuinely interested in honor), I half-wonder if we might request in aid in helping us overthrow their "Lunar" counterparts?

In any case, I would love to just some of these dudes return in some capacity.

    ON ANOTHER NOTE:

I was recently thinking about how little we know of Odin. Most evidence suggests that his blade, Zantetsuken, is the ACTUAL "Primal". I'd heard there were allusions to their lore in Eureka, but I haven't had much luck progressing in Eureka.

But I was thinking recently about how it was kind of strange that we've never really interacted with a Tonberry tribe before. True, we've also never heard one SPEAK, but they at least APPEAR to be sentient creatures. Which made me wonder; perhaps either Odin or Zantesuken is actually THEIR Primal/god? It would make some small amount of sense, given both are widely known for their "one-hit kill" strikes.

Or perhaps THEY summoned the blade itself, and Odin actually has a different origin entirely? I'll admit, I was really surprised to see a "Lunar Odin", given how mysterious his origins seem compared to most other Primals.

In any case; Odin is definitely another one I would like to see get some screen-time! His design in FFXIV is freaking SICK anyways, and we've also not yet seen him wielding Gungnir, despite wielding it in pictures of the statue that came out a few years ago (speaking of which, any word if they will ever be made available again?).

Or, like the "Primals" we encounter in the Eden raids, maybe we could see more re-designs? I love FFXIV's Odin, but might be cool to see a more "kingly" version of him, ala FF7 and FF8.

If nothing else, they are certainly delicious.

Be sure to cook them thoroughly before consumption, unless you want to turn into a Tonberry yourself.

Not an option. Primals drain the land of aether, abuse it and you will end with more places like The Burn. Not to mention that even if he is well adjusted, Ramuh still directly or indirectly tempers people.

All I will say is that the reason we haven't seen a tonberry tribe is because they aren't a beast tribe and if you want to understand why, do the Scholar quest line.

And to a lesser extent, take note of the dialogue during the quests to unlock The Wanderer's Palace and Wanderer's Palace Hard Mode (and the dialogue after), as they're also connected to the tonberries.

But yes, do the SCH Job quests as well (specifically level 30-60), as they are very closely connected to the origin of the tonberries.

Well, my thinking is that all Primals exist to protect the tribes that summoned them (save for MAYBE Titan, I guess?). By all accounts, the Lunar versions summoned by Fandaniel are not only bent purely to his will, but SEEM to be manifest based on the imprisonment and SUFFERING of said beast tribes.

I could totally see the likes of even Ifrit and Garuda being like "eff all these LUNAR imposters, those are MY followers, we'll even team up with the Warrior of Light to stop these dudes".

I mean, I do feel like a lot of the game's story has been about the conflict between beast-tribes and "normal people" leading to unnecessary violence. The beast tribes summon primals to defend them from US. Considering we are now hand-in-hand with MOST of the beast tribes now, to me, it stands to reason that if we're down-and-out, on the verge of the whole world being destroyed, our beast tribe allies might summon their primals to defend US for a change. And even as sentient beings, I could see them joining in a sort of "final battle" to save the world in which all of their followers live.
