Hello, i would have posted this in House section but im not allowed...

Why dont they allow ALL players to own a house?
They can make them instanced, so it wouldnt be hard to load.

Im 100% sure that i wont stay for longer than Max 2months if i cannot own a house, it feels so impersonal to just logout at the inn or out in the world.

If they had housing like Ultima online, then i would stay for years..

Instanced housing would certainly allow for more of them. But they decided that they'd rather have neighborhoods with multiple houses, so that's a lot more server intensive unfortunately.

I agree that I wish they had gone individual instanced houses. But that's almost certainly not gonna happen. At the least, I wish they'd let you upgrade apartments to be more than one room. One room just isn't very much space at all.

That said, I wouldn't let housing be the breaking point for you. Housing is just one small part of the game.

Instanced housing would mean you cannot have a neighbor.

There are instanced apartments and instanced rooms, so everyone in your free company can have their own room in a free company house.

As people stated, there's instanced housing already. It may not be as great as an actual house but it's a great personal space and a good starting point imho.

And who knows how these Island Sanctuaries or whatever in Endwalker are gonna work.

Housing is an ongoing issue. The devs are aware of the problem, though they havent made it clear if they can fix it. Each server has a limited number of houses to be shared by individuals and FCs, and each server has more players then there are available houses. They add more as often as they can, but the problem is far greater then they have so far shown the capacity to fix. For the time being, every server has some instanced housing available in some form*. For you on Omega, you could go get an apartment right this minute(provided you meet the buying criteria). There are rooms for purchase in each housing district(and you can likely even pick the ward you want if you have someone you want to be near). And in the future when they add more houses you could potentially buy one of those too before it sells out. Or maybe they have some programmers secretly working on an fix to the whole problem(which would likely involve instancing anyway) and one of these days theyll surprise us with an announcement.

*Yes, im aware that Balmung is currently out of apartments - it was beyond the scope of the OPs question so i left it for this aside. However, each FC house can host a ridiculous number of private rooms, so there are still theoretical options out there. No, i dont expect many people to swap FCs just to get a room. Im just illustrating that there exists an option. And that is all beside the point for the OP, who could literally walk up to almost any apartment building on their server and pick out a room.

I unsubed today, im not going to let it drag out, if they want me to re-sub then they need to allow all players to own a house, not a room, a House.
Im glad to see and read the replys but it is clear to me that they just dont care, so they dont want my money.

I'm all about housing for all, but if the only thing you'd stay for is a house then you were never going to stay anyways.

Housing isnt a high priority for the devs, and it isnt a major part of the game. Unless they make a major change that has not been announced or hinted at in any way then "a house for every player" is more or less physically impossible. So yeah, if it means that much to you then enjoy whatever other game you find yourself playing. Cause it will likely never be this.

That could also be read to mean several ward expansions to get the "house on the right plot". It took me 3 transfers done over 3 seperate ward/district expansions to get to what i consider the "best" plot. Luckily that means i get to sit out the next one, as i have no desire to move.
