Controller disconnects intermittently for 1-3 seconds (xb one controller/Windows 10)

    Hello,
My controller will randomly disconnect for 1-3 seconds, during which my last input is repeated such as moving in a certain direction. I'm using an Xbox one controller connected via USB cable to a Windows 10 PC. Every post that I have seen about this issue points to Windows Device Manager and suggests disabling Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator. I have disabled this device and rebooted, yet still have the issue. All of my drivers have been updated. This issue occurs when I use different controllers, cables, or USB ports. This issue does not occur with any other game apart from FFXIV. It is getting to the point that I will stop subscribing if I can't find a solution, as playing with K&M gives me hand and wrist pain. Any help is appreciated.

I have the same issue as well. Tried disabling the microsoft enumerator, but it did not resolve the issue. I have tried with multiple ports on my PC (front and back) and with multiple controllers - PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox Series X, and Switch Pro Controller. I still get sporadic input lag. This does not occur on other controller supported games.

    Greetings fellow Eorzean,

We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with controller lag on the game. Please reply back with the following information so we may further troubleshoot the issue:

    Platform (Steam/Mac/Windows):
    Any error message(s) received?
Wired or wireless connectivity for controllers:
Are you using a bluetooth dongle via USB 2.0 or 3.0 or on built into the motherboard with a bluetooth card?
Connected devices to the computer when using the controller:
Are you using multiple controllers when doing this?
Do you have any other games or layouts running when playing the game such as Steam, Discord, etc?
Does your connection dip or is the lag related to the connection to the server/internet rather than actual input lag?
    Wired or wireless internet:
    Internet Service Provider:

We look forward to your reply back.
