But make them a guaranteed drop of one for every ten floors, thereby keeping Delubrum relevant for those who want to speedrun their relics. I honestly think that is a fair compromise.

This change needs to be done sooner or later, because Delubrum with the requirement of 24 people to start it will be the bottleneck of the relic quest once we move on to Endwalker.
It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.

I suspect they're waiting to do this exact change until Endwalker because they don't want people to abandon Delubrum. Granted, they're going to have to nerf it into the ground as practically no one will have any reason to queue for it later.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
Honestly, as most people likely already have their completed relic [if they didn't quit on the 180 item stage] no reason not to go ahead and pull the trigger.

The amount of interest for DR is just fine right now. There's already enough new people sampling multiple sections of the floor in each run I have been on on the past month. Runs are slow enough as it is between them and people who don't use essences and lost actions. We don't need more interest drummed up.

I'm more concerned about why they never nerfed the 15 alliance raids per relic requirement.
I get that Syrcus tower only takes ~15-20 minutes, but sheesh am I sick of that raid

This is were we get into murky waters. I agree with the comment about Castrum, but there shouldn't really be a directional "want" with options from SE. If they do put options in the game, which they have here, then these should be roughly equal.
Having one with a chance to get nothing ad infinitum just leads to frustrations within the player base.
It begs the question; If they wanted players to run Castrum, why put the reward in PotD? - and the same question regarding HoH at a later progression stage.

I do agree it's murky and quite frankly poorly designed content that people need to be lured into repeating so it doesn't run dry, but I think the only reason we have an "outside option" at all is that people complained when there was no other choice but to do Eureka, and so the devs promised that there would be an alternative this time. This is were we get into murky waters. Having just been working on the relic myself for the past week or so, my big feeling is that there are too many granulated steps where you have to be doing the same activities in Bozja but only earning one thing, unless you have multiple relics on the go at once and occupying every stage so collection is open. The first memories can only be gathered in Bozja; the springs and doodads can only be gathered in Zadnor; artifacts can only be found in Delubrum (or PotD) so you have to do five runs of that before you can move on. At the same time there are quests for doing it once weekly, and doing that while you aren't at the specific relic stage to be earning artifacts feels like a waste of at least some of the effort.
