Bsod loop that happened while playing

I was in my inn room watching a cs 8 had to skip because my queue popped. As soon as I clicked on it to watch windows crashed and I got a yellow screen. It then proceeded to blue screen 3 more times while attempting to restart. I eventually got back on and was able to watch the cutscene. I then teleported and as soon as it hit the loading screen I got a blue screen. This was the last time I was able to get on.

I have spent hours attempting various fixes but a huge problem is I can't even stay on the desktop for more than a few seconds before it goes into another blue screen loop. Safe mode has the same result.

Do you know what the error code is? Try to get the BSOD back to see what it is if you don't.

Typically, BSODs are hardware or driver related. XIV might've triggered it but it's likely that it would've happened anyway.

It's "Irql not less than equal" that shows up the most, sometimes "driver irql not less than equal". I have also seen "Page fault in unpaged area" in my feeble attempts to to a system restore or just randomly. I should mention that when I was still allowed to be on my desktop for more than 5 seconds I was able to run the memory diagnostic tool, which did nothing.

Those are typical BSOD's related to RAM or CPU Cache Memory errors.
If you have any non-default clocking on your CPU and/or RAM, or any BIOS settings that effect CPU and RAM power, frequency, or settings that are out of spec for the modules, try to reset them to "auto" or default, then see if the errors stop.
You can also test the RAM and CPU functions to see if they are going bad.

Everything in Bios is set to default. I'm not sure how to go about testing ram and cpu unless it's just the diagnostics test screen when you boot, in which case I've done that and it said everything is fine. I also used a USB with media creation tool to try to reinstall windows... and it blue screen while attempting to reinstall windows.

I can still play the game but I would still like to know whether or not this is fixable or if I should just take a hammer to the damn thing.

    Greetings fellow Eorzean.

Usually, BSODs are a sign of either hardware or software failure. If your Windows installation is unstable, the best thing would be to reinstall Windows from scratch for testing to see if the computer regains stability as this will eliminate the factor of the software being corrupt. If not, it's possible that one of the hardware components may be bad such as a stick of ram, cpu, video card, or even the hard drive. We recommend checking with Microsoft support regarding the BSOD error code you are getting to see if they can help with pointing out what may be the problem.
