    new items are counter productive?

Well be getting about 30 new materia, new crafted weapons that are for class only(seems kinda dumb), weapon parts, armor parts, and nuggets. Some of the choices SE are making seems a bit counter productive to what they had planned when they did crafting and inventory reform. Was all the reform really just to make way for all this new stuff?

if theres anything else i missed please feel free to post it and ill add it

I don't see the problem with weapons being made only for classes. It encourages you to have these things in the event you won't be using your job. (And yes, these situations do ,in fact, come up.) If the jobs are getting Job specific weapons, what's so heartbreaking about class specific weapons?

Also, as the game goes on, there are going to be constant additions to crafting. New recipes and new items are to be expected. For multiple parts to a weapon, it's still not as horrid as when you had to go to three or four different crafting classes to complete a level 8 harpoon.

yeah, i dont know why would anyone want to craft a weapon (which needs HQ mats to craft) and can only use it with classes. why we have jobs?

The choice to add in nuggets and half synth materials (I duno what else to call them) is a bit strange especially considering they went to the effort of removing them in the reform.

I think a lot of people will rage at their choice on the Darksteel set also. (I'll just stick with AF unless its significantly better which kind of defeats the purpose of Jobs if it is)

EDIT: Agreed, according to how it's worded out in the patch notes, the new equips appear to be class specific, but I am still guessing (hoping?) that we are misinterpreting that.

I highly doubt the weapons are "class-only". You are misinterpreting that. Here is the quote:
"New weapon recipes planned for patch 1.22 are for gladiator, pugilist, marauder, and lancer classes only."

I think what they are saying is that the mage weapons and bow are not yet available. The word "class" was just used as a catch-all, instead of naming all of the corresponding jobs.

But hey, I could be wrong.

It's a little strange but let's see where they take it. They may be laying down foundations for some situations or encounters for years to come.

These are nuggets that never existed before

so the old reforms have nothing to do with these new items

In the patch notes it lists only calsses on the crafted weapons. The garuda weapons how ever have classes and jobs listed.
