    Mana on res

    So the other night I screwed up and forgot about a mechanic in paradigm and died. My fault, whatever. I main and pretty much only play drk and maybe a bit of gnb if i feel like a bit of change but it kind of hit me like a ton of bricks. Starting at 0 mana on res for a drk is absolutely brutal especially if you're the MT or OT. I am sharing this pain for healers as well but at least you guys have the mana regen spell (I forget the name of it right now). Would it be good or terrible to have mana users res with half mana instead of 0?

    but DRK builds up their mana pretty quickly as well? not only does your 1-2-3 combo gives you some, you even have blood weapon to get MP upon landing weaponskills

    I think it's an OK punishment. But at the same time...other tanks don't really have that same punishment.
    So...I'm fine either way.
    Maybe it would make it "too easy" to recover if a healer is rezzed...Not sure...

    Yep, youre right, but in the event that you're resed and these mana generating abilities are on cooldown its really rough.

    You don't need Blood Weapon. When you die on DRK, you don't raise with 0. You raise with 2K. Then you ideally need only two GCDs, Hard > Syphon, or Unleash > Stalwart for 600 MP. It takes two MP ticks to generate 400 MP, can be 3 - 6 seconds depending on where the tick falls when you are raised. Ticks that you are going to get as you use those 2 GCDs. There's your 3K for Edge for Darkside refresh or TBN if you can get it to break.

    That being said, you are punished heavily from losing all the Blood, MP, and potential DA proc you have accumulated. PLD probably gets punished more from their entire rotation getting destroyed and de-aligned permanently, but I digress.

    You can use Blood Weapon to recharge mana quickly.

    You can survive without Blackest Night by using Shadow Wall, Rampart or Reprisal. You should survive a lot of the time without mitigation if you bothered to gear well.

    If you died as the MT you shouldn't be provoking right way on res anyways. Too many times I've had a MT die, and I take over, only for them still at quarter to half health provoke...just in time to eat a TB and drop again. If for whatever reason I die as MT, I always drop my stance until I'm good to go with enough MP/skills off CD to ensure that I get to second/third(if alliance roulette) in the list.
