Lvl60 max ilvl gear?

Ok I've done a lot of research on trying to find gear for lvl 60. I know dow and dom jobs can get Ironworks gear for each 10 lvls after 50 but for doh and dol, all I heat is scrips: yellow,white,red,blue... but all the relevant info is years old and some say some scripts are gone and nothing tells me what I need now or how to get it, which brings me finally here.
My question is what is the highest ilvl gear I can get for my 60 miner, where do I find it and what do I need to get it and where do I get that?

Your best place for highest ilvl gear is the Foundation (Ishgard), and speak to Rowena's Representative [Foundation (X: 10.5 Y: 11.8)]

There you can buy all gear including tools for yellow scrips on ilvl 200:
Tools - 675 scrips each
Head - 300 scrips
Body - 425
Hands - 200
the rest (pants, feet, accessories, except rings) - 150 each
Rings - 100

If you are going to meld some stuff, or don't want to invest too much into just 1 job gear (scrip gear on 60 is NOT shared, except accessories); you can buy Ironworks gear (ilvl 190) on the market board or craft it yourself. It is however way more lucrative to wait for 1 more level and buy gear for level 61; it's ilvl 180 and can still be melded. On level 63, crafted gear is on ilvl 200, and I think it's fairly cheap and easy to obtain in HQ via crafting or market board.

Scrips are basically just the DoH/L version of tomestones, and like tomestones, they come in severs varieties. White (level 80), Yellow (everything below 80, similar to Poetics), and Skybuilders' (used for Ishgard restoration.) Blue and Red scrips have long since been phased out and are no longer in the game.

Scrips come from turning in Collectables. If you haven't unlocked them yet, do the quest "Inscrutable Tastes" in Ishgard and the follow up quests "Go West, Craftsman" and "Arms Wide Open" in Mor Dhona and Idyllshire to get started.

Once you've turned in some collectables and earned some scrips, you can go the scrip vendor in Idyllshire or Rowena's Representative in Ishgard and buy full sets of i200 crafting and gathering gear.

Materia and melding are explained during the level 19 MSQ quest "Life, Materia and Everything". While completing the quest, information is added to Active Help that can be found under the Gear category.

It's also explained more in the level 20 DoH class quests, which hopefully you have done for GSM by now.

The game a decent job of explaining things to players when compared to other MMORPGs and the amount of information players need to learn, though there's always room for improvement. But it's outside of SE's control if players choose not to read the information they're given.

Raeodor, generally speaking, it is a BAD idea to upgrade gear at lv 50/60/70. They are endgame sets of previous expansions, so it is only expected that they're expensive to acquire. Yet they become obsolete very easily after a few more levels.

That said, my guess is that you are not a crafter, so you can't craft your own lv 51/61/71 gear. Perhaps that's why you're trying to rely on Yellow Gatherers' Scrips to acquire new gear sets. If that's the case, then I guess Yellow Scrip gear is indeed a better option for you because the lv 51/61/71 gear sets on the marketboard can be expensive.

Apart from the Sundry Splendors NPC mentioned above by ArianeEwah, you can also get scrip gear at ANY Scrip Exchange NPC. The Scrip Exchange NPCs can be found in Mor Dhona, Idyllshire, Rhalgr's Reach, Eulmore, and even in all big cities. They are everywhere!


My crafting guide was written for crafters, not for gatherers. But if you visit Ch18: Yellow Scrips & White Scrips, you will see I have listed out EVERY scrip gear set available at the Scrip Exchange NPC. The only difference is that when you click on the Scrip Exchange, you should select "Gatherers' Scrip Exchange" at the beginning instead of crafters. The hierachy and gear inside are laid out in exactly the same way for both crafters and gatherers.

You can see that there's actually no level 60 gear sets available from the Scrip Exchange NPC. But there are level 58, 65, 70 and 80:
58, 65 and 70 can be obtained via Yellow Scrips.
65 can be crafted as well.
80 can be obtained via White Scrips.

Sort of. Upgrading at 50 is pointless compared to waiting til 51 for the crafted gear, but at 60/70 the scrip gear is pretty cheap (a single week of Custom Deliveries is more than enough to buy a full set) and can potentially last you all the way to 70/80.
