You preferred a system that is limited to classes and not jobs. Which does mostly less dps, has trouble holding area aggro (where you have to take aggro 1 by 1) and heal more than 3 mobs on the tank.

But, it's not like that's going to happen, the trust system is clearly better and it's the system Yoshi-P chose

I would prefer to do dungeons with them instead of the trusts.
You can order them around and and they are faster then your random DF group.
I would like to see them continue that.
