    See, the running animation I'm good with (since they're so tall, it makes sense it would be a little exaggerated), the sprinting animation honestly looks great, imo.

    It would definitely be a bit strange for such a change to come so late, but like I said, I just think it would suit them a lot more. And honestly, I'm not even suggesting some SUPER savage-looking replacement; just a little more "relaxed".

    Weapon idles and animations are universal barring a few exceptions (Roe/Hrothgar WAR has a different stance), so they wouldn't really need to change anything about those.
    Male and Female have different ones and they'd work well swapped.

    Yeah I mean the weapon idle, not how they hold the thing. I think their /bpose and /vpose are actually different too

    Honestly, was just thinking about this again today, and MAN would I really like those animations adjusted.

    To me, the Xaela just give off this "civilized barbarian" sort of vibe, but having their standing and walking animations be SO rigid, it just kind of feels inconsistent. Whereas when you look at their Cheer and Rally animations, you really feel like these guys are a little more wild, the whole "prim and proper" standing animation, and "elegant, measured pacing" of their walking animation just comes off as "wrong".

    Just loosen their stance up a bit, make them look a little more casual when standing, and the same for walking, maybe give them a little more "swagger".

    It's been several months since I first posted this, but honestly having started playing the game pretty heavy again, it really does kind of bother me about the Xaela, those standing and walking animations. At least the walking animation, you see it SO rarely, it isn't the end of the world. But the STANDING animations, yeah they're honestly just WAY too "uptight". Not only for who the Xaela are in the STORY, but also simply looking at ANY OF THEIR OTHER ANIMATIONS!!!

    Seriously, all of their other animations make them seem very loose and casual. But for some reason, whenever they're just standing still, they look like they morph into entirely different people.

    +1 to this; I absolutely loathe the walking animation, and default standing pose. Thank god you can change the standing pose, but you can't change the walking animation.

    They also have a unique DRG stance. The Hrothgars also have their hunch added to WHM and SAM's stances. (SMN and AST too if I remember correctly.)
