I know..... I just think the day they figured out it was a design flaw, they should just patch it right away. I would have been fine with them fixing the Garuda thing when they first noticed itthe fact that the so much of community fights tooth and nail to white knight exploiting/exploiters every major patch is just incredible, and only serves to underscore how our community is comprised primarily of carebears drunk with entitlement, rallying against anything resembling challenge and expecting everything to be handed to them on a silver platter.
while part of the blame rests on square's shoulders for not making more of an example of people who choose to exploit even after devs (and yoshi himself) make it clear what they're doing is taking advantage of bugs in game design, at the very least the community should have the fortitude to sack it up and admit it's not cool.
but people instead choose to delusionally defend exploiting, because all they really care about is that they benefit from it. and their primary argument is "well, it doesn't affect you so why do you care?"
99% of anything anyone does on the planet doesn't affect you. so do we just stop convicting criminals of crimes simply because it has no direct impact on us individually? that's retarded.
no, this isn't real life. but just as there are rules in real life, there are rules in games. especially when the game is a sandbox where lots and lots of other people are playing. without rules it's anarchy. if you want anarchy, play single player console games.
bottom line.
