Relics never matter until the final step of the current level cap anyway. Do also bare in mind that this quest was designed to be done over several days-weeks because it was an endgame quest.

Back when this was new, that thryus was the joint best weapon you could get in the game (though in practice it WAS the best, but that's because twintania was glitched)

Some later steps you will breeze through, others will be a slog. Because, again, they are endgame steps designed to be done over a period of time, but they either are easy due to levelling, or just time consuming (like the dreaded book step, which at the time you just got enough tomestones by finishing one book to get the next)


rn the blade's weapons are the best you can get in the game. Except that its functionally useless unless you are doing TEA or farming. Its the same every expansion, the most powerful weapon you can get in the game is used only for glamour.

It was intentionally vague to encourage players to work together to figure it out.
Its super nerfed now and way easier to do but relics are meant to be optional and a time consuming process in the first place.

At higher level though.
You can get to cap level via daily roulettes and do Zodiac while in HW content.
