I support this Mad Hatter(oh can Viera's wear hats yet?)
Sounds more fun than camping placards or lottery.

Amazingly terrible idea, borne clearly of the worst of elitist mindsets. I would drop this game in a heartbeat if any sort of major rewards (like housing) were only accessible via PvP.
Highly doubt that, people where stuck with WoW for 10 years, even thou they said they would leave. People don’t just leave a game, this is always a fake bluff. SE could become like WoW and none of you would notice it, because like what happened to us. Your blind to incremental changes that ruin the game, one can only see in hindsight
you were obviously one of the top, er.. posters, on the wow forums
You realize that, while is it true that FF14 learned from WoW's success, they are undoubtedly learning from their failures, too.
And in regards to WoW's ranked pvp, which is horribly gated and self-serving, they are failing miserably at the moment and the world is watching.
Honestly if we were going for crazy ideas for houses, I'd prefer prime location houses going on a week long auction or something lol. Sell that house for many many millions of gil.
Of course I'd actually just prefer we have a system that can meet the demand of all players (proper instanced housing, with fuller customization options like scale and Z axis positioning).
100% but that is more to do with the WoW token then pvp. It enabled people to sell tokens for irl money- 90% of world lives on less then 2$ a day. So if you farm 70 hours for 40 usd token those hours farming gold and trading for WoW token is a lot more lucrative then anything else. You realize that, while is it true that FF14 learned from WoW's success, they are undoubtedly learning from their failures, too.

Why try hards sell pvp carries and all other carries. Truth is WoW token saves millions of lives, but ruins the game. I am against the token. But even these things are not black and white
It's been lovely seeing so many new players in the game these past few months. But unfortunately this thread has shown me that new players can also bring new ridiculously awful ideas.

It's easy to blame tokens, most do, but the core of it was poor system design.100% but that is more to do with the WoW token then pvp. Making the effort of rising past 1600 rating so extremely hard along with the absurd ease of losing substantially more rating per loss, coupled with the extreme difference in power between ranked gear and starter gear (even upgraded) murdered pvp in shadowlands.
SE would have to be insane to follow a similar path when they can see how badly it is going for WoW.

i already get enough housing pvp by having to read the same 5 people argue on these forums on a weekly basis, honestly. terrible idea, BUT i do think the idea of a point capture map with a placard would be hilarious though, not gonna lie.
actually is it bad i support this purely for comedic value?
