Have arena on raised platform like the Titan battle. As Miqo'te we can auto win by just pushing other person off the ledge cause it's in our nature... >.>I only support this only if it's 1v1 open world, no weapons. Just plain ol' fisticuffs. As a miqo'te though I get to employ screaming, spitting, clawing...and of course insulting of parentage. I also get to keep kicking and flinging you about after yer down. #justkittehstuff

I say we have a yu gi oh tournament instead

100% for that idea, make it "The Purge" like where all housing wards are just turned into pvp zones and players can just run around and murder each other for their homes.

To OP:
In the words of James Downey from Billy Madison:

This isn't a PVP-centric game, it's PVE majority based. It was great during ARR/HW expansion. Now, it's not fun and just garbage. Haven't really touched pvp in ages. Unless they decide to completely revamp PVP--NEWSFLASH: They Won't.
If housing was so great on the other mmos you played, go back and play those. This idea will NOT work here.
Edit: Next time I'm on my Aether alt, going to add this guy to my blacklist. Don't like self-entitled butts. :P
Okay, I know a particularly loud portion of the community abhors pretty much any mention of open-world PvP in any fashion, but it really ain't that deep. Have your chuckle at the bad take and move on, no need to insult the person and announce that you're going to blacklist them.

Not only that but to get to that point you'd have to read through their posts and assume they're 100% serious. I don't know which part is the most concerning tbhOkay, I know a particularly loud portion of the community abhors pretty much any mention of open-world PvP in any fashion, but it really ain't that deep. The game has PvP and it's actually decent. Not expecting anyone that doesn't want to go beyond the meme to know that though.

Oh, I was thought this was another bait topic who someone is trying to scare everyone, while sitting in front of PC with popcorn watching the despair of community, so I came here with sarcasm and memes.
Anyway, this is a bad idea, and you know this. You have 2k posts, you might remember that everytime SE add something to PvP (and it's not much) the community says "no" (the GARO event, for example, had topics about "why is this event for PvP?" and "bring back the GARO event, but not for PvP").
The most recently thing was about cruiser chaser, where I saw people saying "I'd rather pay than see it as a PvP reward". Because, you might know, this is a game where MOST (I not said ALL) players are PvE.
But why not force someone who want something for RP, to do PvP? Simple, because you will fill the PvP with people who is not interested, they will play poorly because they don't care about that (oh, now I see why he want that!), while on the other side you will have people who does't care about RP things, and their prize will be able to buy something for RP. A little bit non sense, RP players just want to RP, not punch people on virtual arenas. As I saw before, they will rather pay real money than make PvP.
But as the author said before (with context):
He does't care about all of this, but I'm telling you what I think of it all because I think you are talking seriously with me. But I will continue to take this topic as a good joke, where I will see people arguing about why this is not going to work (like I'm doing now).
