i already get enough housing pvp by having to read the same 5 people argue on these forums on a weekly basis, honestly. terrible idea, BUT i do think the idea of a point capture map with a placard would be hilarious though, not gonna lie.

100% correct lmao. I come from pvp in other mmos. If I can use my ideas for my own gain, who is to stop me? I am sure the pvp community would agree with me. And other new players who are good at pvp but don’t want to farm Gil.

FF has such a comparatively small PvP community. A house might function as a trophy case for your community, but for the bulk of the FF community--i.e. what actually makes the game profitable--are the RPers who use those houses to socialize.

What I'm saying is: it's not the worst idea, but FF is just the wrong game to be campaigning for this. And as far as my personal opinion goes, doubly so, since I don't consider PvP to have particularly great game feel or robust modes/features and solidly classify it as a small side gig alongside deep dungeons and mini-games.

Removes rng, in favour for skill. This game has little reason to pvp, this fixes that issue. Fixes pvp and the house market. Your welcome

How is tying housing to PvP going to fix PvP itself ? I come from PvP-centered MMOs as well, and to me PvP has always represented a big part of the end game so trust me, i wish the PvP in FFXIV was good, but it's just not.
To get people to play PvP SE should first make it more enjoyable. Unfortunately the game's strength resides more in its PvE content and that is where they are putting all their focus. They just threw in some half-assed PvP modes so people would stop requesting them.

Anyway, i understand where you're coming from, but this won't work unless SE put more effort in PvP and switch the game's focus, which is not likely to happen since the playerbase is growing with their current PvE-focused formula.
