Getting houses via PVP

No, I WANT them to try and do something like this. Then, once this idea backfires (because barely anyone pvps in this game) and it blows up on twitter, reddit and JP/EP forums and everyone is screeching at Yoshi from all angles, they'll have no choice but to focus on housing more. Genius!

- as topic suggests, instead of placard farming, make houses in the new expansion [end walker] tied to pvp rewards instead of gil.

- small houses would require bronze tier ranking
- medium houses require silver tier
-large houses require gold tier
- gold sink of 100 million

Removes rng, in favour for skill. This game has little reason to pvp, this fixes that issue. Fixes pvp and the house market. Your welcome

Sure you can buy rank, maybe to a latter. But can you buy your way to top 10? Top 50? Top 100? Not likely. Since each house in my system is tied to a spot in the latter. If you loose you spot in latter, your evicted and keep your stuff. If you choose to hide from pvp within the lock out timer (40 days] you get evicted.

Ff14 has 3 million players, even if everyone is to get boosted you still won’t get high enough to where boost will matter. If anything it may delete the gold inflation by having ranked matches cost like 50K Gil per entry.

Amazingly terrible idea, borne clearly of the worst of elitist mindsets. I would drop this game in a heartbeat if any sort of major rewards (like housing) were only accessible via PvP.

Highly doubt that, people where stuck with WoW for 10 years, even thou they said they would leave. People don’t just leave a game, this is always a fake bluff. SE could become like WoW and none of you would notice it, because like what happened to us. Your blind to incremental changes that ruin the game, one can only see in hindsight

.....um...I hate to be the one to say this but have you looked at WOWs numbers recently? People can and do walk away from games at a moments notice. I did.

You realize that, while is it true that FF14 learned from WoW's success, they are undoubtedly learning from their failures, too.

And in regards to WoW's ranked pvp, which is horribly gated and self-serving, they are failing miserably at the moment and the world is watching.
