    Ode to the faithless tanks

Oh dearest paladin, the shield of our group,
you stood at the vanguard, and rallied the troops,
but no sooner we started, that you came to a halt,
it soon was apparent, you held my healing at fault.

"Why for have you stopped now? My holies are prepared!
You've still a ways to go, now is no time to be scared."
But with nary a word, and my honor you debased,
by casting clemency, you might well spit in my face.

Sorry for the crappy poem. Just want to vent about tanks with so little trust in their healers, that they panic cast clemency at 50% health as if they're about to die in the first pack in Paglth'an while I'm working WHM magic spamming holy and weaving in oGCD heals and lilies as necessary instead of spamming cure 2 to keep their precious health bar at 100%.

trust goes both ways. healers seem to have a love affair with letting a tanks HP get as low as possible before healing because they'd rather dps or they want a few % more efficiency out of Benediction or something. Many times they cast a heal too late then everyone is scrambling while the healer tries to raise and heal the tank while mobs are going everywhere.

Why should I trust random healers when they've taught me I shouldn't? If me not wanting to be dead and casting clemency offends you, too bad.

May Hydaelyn stand between you and harm in all the dark places you must walk.

A PLD casting Clemency in a dungeon means more holy spam for me. It’s all good in my eyes. No need to take offence to it

The mark of a good healer is how low can you let the tanks hp go before topping them off instantly. The mark of a good tank is using mitigation while letting the healer do their thing.

dungeons do seem to be where the worst players are. I don't do them much anyway because i hate the linear things but each time i gone in with other players, there's always someone being pants on head stupid or failing to play their job to a basic degree

I understand where you're coming from, but ultimately it's not the tank's job to heal.
If the healer is too greedy with heals and screws up, it's 100% their fault. No one is going to blame the PLD or the RDM for not using their heals.
So for me it's just a question of trusting people with their job, no matter what your past experiences might have been.

That being said, yeah, there's no need to take offense here I think it's kind of cute that sometimes RDM/PLD panick and start using their heals when there's no need to. Plus like Sebazy said it's more time for me to DPS.
