So I recently started playing again after a few years away from the game. I reinstalled the game and began playing a fresh character on 8/11 of this year. I have been running the game on highest settings without issue (aside from the namesake of the thread title), and my drivers are as up to date as possible, as well as my Windows.

The crash always appears the same, though the when and where of it has no consistency. I am playing the game, when all of a sudden it freezes completely. The screen with flicker a bit, then minimize to my desktop. Audio for the game will play for a bit longer before stopping as well, and a tiny white box appears at the center of the screen, displaying the DirextX 11 error message. My only option then is to click that I acknowledge the crash and that the game needs to shut down. After this point, I need to restart my PC, as the Steam client is nonfunctional and glitchy. Once I've restarted, I can resume playing the game again, until the next crash. The time between crashes is just as inconsistent as the when/where factors of ingame; sometimes it happens within an hour or two of the last, other times it's been over 24hrs.

After doing a bit of searching around the web, and trying proposed fixes for the issue, I am still plagued by the problem. Solutions I've tried include:
- Uninstall and Reinstall of FF14
- Disabling the Steam overlay
- Updating drivers
- Updating Windows
- Switching between Borderless Windowed and Fullscreen settings
- Running the game with DirectX 9 (DEFINTLEY do not do this)
