Unexpected Error has occured. Exiting Final Fantasy xiv(5)

Hello,

I teleported to camp drybone and got kicked out of the game with this error. I am unable to log in on the character anymore and I receive the same error every time I log in. I am able to log onto other characters. It appears to be the same error from this 2019 thread.

I have attempted a reinstall, and deleting the FFXIV folder in Documents>My Games, switching to DX9
Friends in the game are reporting to me that my character is still present ingame when I attempt to log in, but dissappear after the crash each time.

I am having this same issue on my second account, except my error message is “An unexpected error has occurred. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV. (17)” I have deleted the data from My Documents > My Games > FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn. Doing this changed nothing. This started today when I ported into the North Shroud and I cannot get past the loading screen, but my character does get logged in. I also have access to another character on the same account and it works just fine.

I found a solution. After the first reinstall, the error continued, however, I tried again and reinstalled it in a new directory on a new drive and the issue no longer persists.
