Reachable on foot. Im having trouble picturing the map to give actual cardinal directions, but if you go to stage right, and hug the cliff, you'll reach a pathway that will let you get to the current.

The compass simply picks up the nearest current if you drew a straight line on a map. That may or may not be the actual closest destination on foot, but it's all that it is programmed to do.

Ik that but it just fees different, on my other char i actually used a mapt to get some and de difference bettween the easiest to reach and where the compass wanna sent me was a joke, like go 1300 yalms north east despite theres one 800 yalms south >_>

And it's things like that that got us freaking very easy mode in story dungeons. And people wanna complain about the game being what it is now. I agree with you Snorky. It's threads like this that got us here.

I'm fine with aether currents but I do appreciate having easy mode for story battles, particularly job quests where I'm trying to scrape through a level 70 quest in level 60 gear because it's silly to go and buy new gear to beat a fight that rewards you with gear.

Also if I got 90% through the fight and died to a cheap mechanic at the end. I put the work in already on several characters at this point.
