the immersion problem made by glams

In a game that heavily markets glamour as its true "endgame" there is absolutely zero incentive for them to ever consider allowing players to turn it off. Part of the reason many players like the freedom they have is to show it off.

Nope. Leave people's glamour alone. This topic is old already and the last time it was brought up it didnt end well either. They will NEVER give players the ability to ruin someone elses glam on their screen simply because most people who purchase the mog station outfits do so, so that others can see them wearing their shiny new outfit. They aren't going to lose making profit on 18 dollar a pop outfits because people like you want to cry "but my immersion"

How the hell does turn off glamour options, which is mostly likely (if not 100%) client side, will ruin someone else's glam lol. Besides, people requested this option is a minority, probably 20-30% of the server population. "oh no, not everybody see my $18+ glams, this is unacceptable!". You won't even notice it anyway, except if someone directly tell you first, which is... very unlikely.

IF (really emphasize on 'if') the devs have the time and resources to implement this feature, I bet all my gil nothing will change. People will still buy glams and mogstation glams.

Kinda funny considering that it's already sort of happened anyway due to mods. I know a lot of people do mods, and if they heavily mods their game, big chance your glam is already changed or broken on their side. Especially if you wear the lvl1 glams.

I wouldn't really care if they added such an option at the end of the day, but I do think it is unnecessary. People wouldn't need it if they would simply get over themselves.

This is a game with mech suits and flying robots, and your immersion is broken because someone is able to wear a jacket?

Get over it. Glamour is a form of expression, you don't get to turn that off, everyone would look like they're wearing clown suits without it which is far more immersion breaking anyway imo.

Why does it always feel like people who are complaining about others wearing Mogstation glams either are jealous because they can't afford them or are butthurt because paid cosmetics exist in the first place.

I see outfits I dislike all the time and I have never once felt like I needed to erase someone's outfit from my vision. I just accept that different people are going to glam differently so I shouldn't expect to like every outfit that I see.

Anyway SE are very unlikely to permit players to turn off glams given that having glams displayed is free advertising for store outfits. They're not going to spend time and money to reduce the pool of players that can have store items advertised to them. They literally make money from people being able to see everyone's glams.

Just tell those ppl to lookup pictures of ppl that other ppl took on their phone in a walmart and they'll be thankful stuff like that isn't possible in this game and never complain about other ppls glamours again... >.>
