    And from what I've seen, you haven't even leveled ACN at all (unless it's an alt).
    So how would you know what ACN/SMN/SCH actually needs?

    Lore can be changed. They adjusted Astrologians lore to an extent to compensate for all the cards providing dps increase. So can we stop using that as an excuse to why things can’t be changed.

    I’m not saying I agree with everything OP said but lore can be changed so let’s stop using that as a scape goat. That does nothing but tell people the devs limited and boxed themselves in a corner with lore for the jobs. I’m not saying it’s easy to change but it can be done.

    In short, the lore of the cards themselves (as well as what was "supposedly" changed) remained intact.
    Not to mention that AST still relies on cards as its main mechanic.

    What the OP and you suggest would be akin to removing the cards from AST or the faeries from SCH.

    Besides, drastically changing lore because some people don't like an aspect of it is a (huge) slippery slope.
    Where would that end?

    Especially since one of FF14's main strengths is the consistency of its overall lore (class/job included).

    Please don't change the Summoner Lore massively.

    Also, from a very simple POV it can be determined that those ideas are but a pipe dream: Elaborate Skill Animations for multiple summons? Other jobs would riot and (rightfully) demand the same, resulting in an abnormal workload.

    Let’s be clear for a second. I never said I wanted the egis gone or wanted them removed. All I said was the dev team didn’t box themselves into the corner with lore. They can always slightly change it or even completely change it all together. That’s fantasy. Things can always change. Lore is always people’s scapegoat and that’s just not true. That’s all I’m saying.
