Hello I am lvl 30 and I just started playing this game.
I asked in game but nobody helped me.

I am trying to dye my armor i got some white armor dye snow white and I can't figure out how to dye it.

Also I am looking for a free company, can anyone recruit me? I heard you can level faster like that.

Pray go to the Waking Sands ...

and pick up the 'dye' quest from the person sitting by Lolorito's statue in the middle of Vesper Bay. They have quests for both dyes and glamours. The 'active help' for both of these should get you enough to get started.

Find the 'dye' icon by bringing up your actions list (press P on the PC and it should be under General - which is also where Limit Break icon lives). Pull it onto your hotbar and click on it. The interface is fairly easy to figure out.

Good luck looking for an FC. It does help in leveling, and in developing a sense of community with new friends.

The dye question seems fairly well answered. As for FCs, remember that those are specific to your home server. The page tells me youre on Louisoix, so only an FC from their could invite you. As such, asking in game(or at least on a server specific board) would get you better results. The way that an FC can help you level faster is by directly helping, or by running a passive exp buff(the most common one gives you an extra 5-15% exp per kill, but doesnt affect other types of exp like from quests). Thank you guys. I managed to find a FC and now I went to gold saucer and got really confused so I just left.

I am lvl 33 now Gladiator and I am running out of hotbar space. I am playing with a controller. I know you can press the RB button and switch, is that really the best way? It feel so slow wont i die in combat if im too slow.

Anything really, running and sprinting everywhere is really slow.

Your first mount (your chocobo) you can get after joining a Grand Company - you can pick up a quest for it in your GC headquarter.
Joining a Grand Company is a level 20 quest and is part of the Main Story Questline (MSQ), so you can't miss it.

So the Manderville Golden Saucer is side content. As a quasi-casino, it exists primarily as a home to mini-games. The story never really requires you to engage with any of the mini-games, but it can be a great diversion. Playing the games will net you a special currency MGP(manderville gold points i think), and you can spend those on a variety of cosmetic rewards. They have outfits, emotes, minions, music rolls, and mounts among other things.

If you play around in the settings(i think its under character config), there are a few ways you can configure your hotbars. It might feel a little slow since you arent used to it, but a lot of high level players do so on controller. The game was designed with compatibility in mind, so it really does work well for any role. I play keyboard and mouse, so i wont include specific advice that might be wrong.

There are well over a hundred mounts available in game(and another dozen or two on the cash shop), but until you do the quest that MistakeNot mentioned you wont be able to use any of them. Once the feature is unlocked via the quest, any mount you received in any other way becomes available. Aside from the first chocobo from that quest, the Gold Saucer has a few easy mounts. You can also check the achievement certificate vendor(his name is Jonathas and he stands near the waterfall in gridania). You probly havent earned a ton of certs yet as a newer player, but as they accumulate youll have your choice from his inventory too.
