I hadn't realised that's actually a real thing in FF14. I read your reply yesterday and have been considering how that would change things for me since. It might actually make me a bit reckless, for curiosity's sake. You might end up with a partner Ritsuko!![]()

Thancred's aether balance is shot as a result of getting lost in Y'shtola's Flow spell in 2.55-3.1. He can't manipulate aether, leaving him unable to teleport, or to charge his own gunbreaker ammo. If you bring him along as a Trust without Ryne, he actually won't use any of the enhanced cartridge attacks (it's purely visual and doesn't affect his damage, but it's a nice touch of continuity).

I'd probably stay as I am. I've always loved the "elfy" aesthetic, and being pulled into FFXIV to BE an elf would make my life.
Me too! I love the way my guy looks and would be more than happy to "be him" after a period of adjusting to his height and such. I'm sure I'd bonk my head and trip all the time at first, let alone lose all sense of relative location in physical combat. Time to main Bard!
Nah, I'm perfectly content as a Hrothgar. Nothing for me to change, I don't use hats irl anyway. I'll embrace the furry life. Now I get a tail and fang too. Obviously a win. Though, the hunched back will probably take some time to get used to. As for combat, if I can manipulate aether, then I'll choose a DoM job for sure, or maybe a PLD.
If not, I'm perfectly fine going into combat without relying on the combat jobs available for the WoL. I'll just supplement my combat skills with the ones I have in real life. Maybe, I'll even make my own soulstone while I'm at it, haha!
Can we, hypothetically, warcrime?

While you technically could, you'd also be without the WoL's extensive plot armor. And there are plenty of other strong people in the world. Even if we don't account for other people getting isekai'd alongside you who might prefer to remain more, let's say, on-script.
Well... considering one of the resources we had access to in our D&D campaigns was "The Book of Erotic Fantasy" and what we do would no longer be limited by game input options... They come after me at their own risk of horrible life shattering embarrassment. Given the setting, something like that would probably be a bigger deterrent to people coming after me than killing people. Although... it could also backfire and result in people coming after me to intentionally get caught... now... I need to draw up a new plan...While you technically could, you'd also be without the WoL's extensive plot armor. And there are plenty of other strong people in the world. I could've gone the rest of my life quite happily without ever being reminded that that book existed.Well... considering one of the resources we had access to in our D&D campaigns was "The Book of Erotic Fantasy" and what we do would no longer be limited by game input options... I'm sure I have even more "interesting" sourcebooks laying around somewhere for other tabletop RPGs... >.>
A lot of these things make for some hilarious reading as they try to make lore for those types of things and activities.
