to get the gobbue you just have to go to the wander minstrel when you hit level 30. Mounts in town? Please, we don't need such a nuisance. I'd rather the devs focus on something more end-game content friendly.

Mounts in town would be a nuisance? I just want to get around faster, every MMO I've played allow mounts in the city. Well I guess I will wait until 30. Getting Ul'dah down pretty fast with the main story quest.

There's nothing inherently wrong with mounts in town, but the cities aren't really designed with that in mind (just take a look at how small the streets are in most places), so they would look very out of place, especially the Goobbue.
