- Shut down the game client. Delete the 'Final Fantasy XIV' folder in the 'My Documents' → 'My Games' folder so the data can be recreated then relaunch the game.
- Uninstall/reinstall the game from scratch

Thank you for the initial tip.

I've deleted the Final Fantasy XIV folder and completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I was able to load into the character once (in Kolusia, if that makes any difference). But after logging back out, I'm right back to where I was: If I try and log in on that character, the game crashes without an error code right after the login screen.

What can I try next?
