One thing I could not understand about controller users, please enlighten me if you are.

How do you chat o.o!

I'm always chatting everywhere, but can not imagine how I would do that if I'm using a controller. Are you all very good with on screen keyboard? Or do you keep putting controller down? How do you manage to fight and chat at the same time o.o!
