FC owning 12 plots

I mean your question is kind of a trap because my definition of acceptable is probably different from yours but my answer is that multiple properties was acceptable before the rules changed. SE obviously doesn't want to punish or take away from players who weren't doing anything wrong at the time they purchased the properties. When it comes to "shell FCs" I think the buying a selling of FCs for the purpose of flipping housing should be against TOS as i consider it an exploit of the system and of other players.

I'm on Crystal - Coeurl server
Was looking for a plot to purchase for my FC (me and 8 friends) and I noticed on the Gridania plots, ward 12 I think. There was an FC that owned 12 plots and they all have 1 member in it, all the same person (assuming cause they all have the same last name)

When I checked online about it, the FFXIV site on housing said 1 plot per FC and you must have 4 members in it. Is this a loop hole since they made seperate FC's but named them all the same. just all have 1 member in it and fc's at least lvl 6.

I'm just confused and want to know if this is fine???
just thinking it's unfair for others.

They are not decorated so they are not used for RP I'd imagine. They are all locked up so I imagine they are just sat on until sold by that person. 4 of those in a cluster look like my old neighborhood when I first had my small house. They were all owned by one person that I used to say hi to at the MB. When I asked why they had so many they responded with, "I like to deco". Umm hmm, sure ya do They were never decorated either LOL.

The entire housing debacle is (most likely) not what SE had envisioned. Specifically, the only way what they described makes sense is when the entire ward is FC only because that drives up the number of players within the wards so that it has a community feeling to it. In other words, personal housing is the pandora's box that destroyed that vision.

Tbh, if SE is going to put restrictions in place, they should also stop grandfathering in stuff because all that does is create "haves" and "have nots" for a system that's already experiencing stark resource depletion.

The owner of those houses bought FC houses and relocations from other players many times over the placard price and relocated the houses into LB Ward 12 over months/years.

Was just stating my observations over the years. I have no desire to speak to him/her or anyone else like them. I have my med personal house and a FC that hubby left me when he quit the game. I'd think that is enough for anyone. BTW, this person had at least a 4 house cluster way back before location was implemented.

The person who has those houses in LB Ward 12 on Coeurl moved to Coeurl after relocation was implemented, so it might have been a different person/people back then.

Were the players who willingly sold FC houses and relocations to that multi-house owner participating in wanton acts of greed?

I think I actually saw a post where they where trying to report the owner for cheating with how they'd placed things outside. Owner spoke up and talked with folks.

The pictures where amazing. With about a third of the ward owned strategically, they where able to decorate in such a way as to change the entire feeling of the ward.

Because SE's rules allowed for these items to be collected, and someone decided it would be fun to collect them. It's literally as simple as that.

SE can't go back and take rewards away. That would destroy subscriber's faith in them. If they will delete houses, we need to be worried that they will remove feast rewards earned on alts, or ishgard titles earned on alts. You ground out 'Saint' on two characters? Sorry, that's no fair, you get to keep one and the 'leftover' goes to the next guy down the line. It wouldn't be fair to do THAT retroactively, and the same is true of housing. I have friends who would undoubtedly quit if they lost their alt's houses. Meanwhile, no one is quitting because SE isn't working hard enough on housing solutions like Ishgard, Apartments, island sanctuary(?) and additional wards.

Explained enough? Or do you insist this is your 'hill to die on'?
