Didn't get Preferred Server character bonus upon turning 30

Hi there,

I am new to FFXIV - this is my first time making it past level 10

I bought a paid service account, I started a new character during the Preferred period on Diabolos, and quickly leveled to 30.

The character has the Road to 70 buff (double XP) and the 10 Silver Chocobo Feathers, but upon reaching 30, I was supposed to receive a gift of 1 million gil, which has not appeared.

This page here explains the promise of the 1 million gil gift for new characters upon reaching 30 (once per datacenter) - it is worded very clearly, I don't think I misunderstand the promise:

I believe I should qualify, as this is my first level 30 character ever, and I received all the other bonuses (including the 15 day playtime bonus, which shares the same requirements of reaching 30). Why didn't I get the gil? What can I do to fix this? I submitted a bug report in-game, but my ticket doesn't appear in "Past Requests" on the help tab, I'm afraid it disappeared into the void.

The gil bonus only applies to characters created on a New World. Preferred Worlds don't get the gil bonus.

You misunderstood it.

You were looking at new world bonuses (Diabolos it not a new world)

You should be looking at preferred world bonuses (Diabolos is a preferred world)
