This. How can you tell if a person is talking to you with chat bubbles any more than the chat window? unless its in like, a dungeon or something...
And even then, they'd get HUGE with the amount of text. It would be very distracting.
Sure, why not? At least for /say anyhow. It would be nice to have a visual of where the person is who's speaking. I do think it should be optional though.
Its not a bad idea, it could be considered a QoL or accessibility feature, the option to turn it off would be a good selling point too.
Square did add the feature that makes your mouth move when speaking in the chat, which is purely for immersion. Most do not even notice this is occurring, I know I did not when I first started playing.
I can understand why many do not care but some like myself enjoy small little details like this. I think older mmos too had chat bubbles.
Only if you can turn it off. I hate chat bubbles, and being in hubs would be a nightmare with them. But if I can turn them off, I don't care if they are there or not.
I don’t mind it but its completely unnecessay if you ask me.
How about add it only for gpose ?
IS it that hard to see it in the chat block? The thing is huge.
People actually read text in game?! With all the "watch vid on youtube" and "discord or (insert voice chat thing here) required" spammed for stuff I started to wonder if people forgot how to read stuff in a game... >.>
That said I actually like not having chat bubbles. I've played MMO's that had them and it quickly became annoying in populated areas.
Click the gear next to the chatbox and edit your log filter for one of the channels to only see local/whisper text? Some weirdos are against others having the option of enjoying social interaction, but I really want the devs to understand how much this simple addition would improve existing in their game world.
Atleast add an option turn on/off chatbubbles
This will make the game so much more enjoyable for all platform
It's probably your only real hope of getting what you want done.
