I will try and give all the info i can.
Been playing for about a month now since i got a new GPU, everything going great having fun. Just out of nowhere was doing the duty to find Iceheart to talk to dragons, I start getting this error. Video will freeze, go black, and error message will pop up, clicking ok boots me out of the game. Ever since that first time its been happening nearly 100% of the time in a cutscene be it voiced or not. One time today it happened when I teleported from Gridania to Ishgard. In the same day 1 Castrum run and the error came up 5 times. thankfully i could log back in and rejoin so not a complete waste.

Things i have done based off other posts of people with this same issue.
-Updated my GPU drivers with a clean install
- Did a fresh install of the game 2 times now
-switched my display scaling from Full-screen to no scaling, preform scaling on GPU
--this had the screen going from all black to black squares flickering across both on my displays till it just errored out and crashed
- i have turned off everything that is unnecessary and only have things in USBs that need to be there

I'm getting close to my limit, please any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I want to play this game.

quick follow up of things i have also tried and will try once the maintenance is done.

Have done
-I have done the launch in borderless then switch to full screen thing, i forgot that i was doing that.

havent done but gonna try
-reinstalled DirectX 11
-use MSI Afterburner to underclock my 1080ti, though im unsure of how much i should but ive seen this work for people
-launch in DirectX 9, i dont really want to do this mainly cause i fear a drop in quality, and the fact i really shouldnt have to imo

Out of curiosity, did the GPU completely die? Like no Bueno completely shot? Do buy it second hand from someone? Do you know if it was fully seated and a good PSU line?

I had just got it new like 3 weeks ago. 1080 ti. just straight shot, it seems. what is happening is pc will turn on and the lights on the card will come on for like 20 secs then turn off. i dont know hardware to well so im having a shop look into it and handle the warranty stuff. hopefully it will be covered. Like i was playing and my screens just went black and the card's lights went right after. tried to full reboot, nothing.
