Try disabling audio enhancements on your default audio device. That helped for me.

Looks like I may have tried that at some point as well I checked my headphones and audio enhancements are already off. I did notice that crashes often happen when several sounds would result at once, however. Can you think of any other audio things I could toggle and test?
