My frustrations with black mage and it's severe lack of diversity

Hey guys - this is my first thread, and I am brand new to the forums / fairly new to the game, so feedback is very much appreciated - thanks!.

Issue;
As a male Hyur Black Mage going through the MSQ for the first time (I am now half way through ShadowBringers btw and a level 76 BLM), I have seen an abundance of high-heels and femanine glamours, yet nearly no glamours fit for a male character (specifically Hyur as that is what I play). I find this very confusing and detrimental to my experience, and my FC's attempts to help me find something suitable has pretty much fallen flat in almost all regards.

I would love to see far more diversity in design for male black mage characters. Black mages are supposed to be mages of raw destruction, shunned by other casters for their dark practice.. yet all I see are Harry Potter cosplays and goofy / cutsie Twilight costumes.. I want to feel like a black mage without having to awkwardly dress my character in femanine clothing - I think that's a fairly reasonable expectation.

I may have missed some gear sets on my journey through the MSQ, however I can say with confidence that 90% of the equipment is better suited to female characters than male characters. I would like to emphasise that I have absolutely no issue with the existing designs, I simply want to see the addition of more male appropriate glamours.

I'd say 90% is a bit of an exaggeration but definitely there are more gear sets that flatter female characters than male characters. There are frequent requests for a better range of male glamour (including from female players).

If you're only focusing on the artifact sets, the artifact sets aren't about gender but about the classic FF appearance for the job. Even within classical high fantasy outside of FF, casters are usually portrayed as robed. Robes are not gender based apparel.

There are still options out there if you're willing to take the time to look. Sabora's link to the Eorzea Collection website will be helpful as you can put in search criteria to see what sets other male casters have created.

I found one or two I like so far though the huge majority alligns with my initial point, so I feel my statement is still relevant and true.

I agree OP.
There is a lot of variety in some roles gearsets, but casters and healers feel like they get less variety, especially because so much of their gear is just... robes.

Eorzea collection (mentioned above) is a brilliant resource, but I find it is mainly useful for getting stylish inspirations. As you browse you'll see many of the same popular pieces frequently.
