I think its less about the erp community and more about the nsfw mods and what they could bring. As I said, people take lewd photo's of lalafells, twins and ryne and gaia and post them on twitter, discord and other places.

If you watch the video, though, the modder explicitly states that content centered around the lalas and the twins is heavily frowned upon within their community. You're talking about the dysfunctional fringe of the fringe here. The stuff that gets posted on Twitter and Discord should be moderated on Twitter and Discord. I don't think SE is obligated to police every single piece of fan art posted on third party sites.

Personally speaking, what happens in the privacy of an FC house, apartment, or otherwise, should stay there. If you're walking into THAT, then you likely knew full well what was going on to begin with. Nude mods are nude mods, they've been around forever, and SE can't do anything about them anyway without egregious breaches of privacy. As for the 'minors' thing, again, that should be aggressively policed by the community.

The thing is, any action SE takes in an official capacity sets a precedent going forward, and I believe the dev's stance is to avoid setting precedents unless absolutely necessary, see the banning of streamers for using parsers to encourage harassment.

To be frank, brothels and the like might not be my thing, but if they've having fun with the game in their own way, and it's in private, then I'm not inclined to care all that much.

Unfortunately, it is routinely NOT done in private, and these "venues" are also advertised frequently specifically for the goal of making gil. On top of that, many of these modders sound to be doing it for actual money as well. I wouldn't be surprised if Asmongold is/was being sought out specifically to advertise "venues".

I see this said in places much and there is much I could say in response but shall keep brief. I have done that and made my decision on the matter. I understand sentiment of the statement.

Correct. There are not many things I can add when I am insulted or called racist. It tends to make one feisty which welp, results in the lack of composure. Also, I know plenty of mature people who use excessive bad language. That is.. you know what nope nope.

3)As you said, being underage and looking underage is different. If this is such a problem in your life, consider looking into fashion choices or how you act to better reflect your age. Japanese like my wife look much younger than they are, but you would never mistake her for a child with her sharp fashion/hair.

No. I will not alter how I behave or act simply because there are ones out there who cannot move beyond preconceived notions of appearance and behavior. Me acting silly or dressing less "mature" hurts no one. Forcing me to change my hair, clothes, and personality does hurt me. Hard pass! Will also not get into medical conditions and growth hormones because lack the necessary knowledge and it is personal.

No, I do not care what people do with Lalafell because Lala's are not children. I do not see them or think they look like children because this is not how I think. I think short race with pointy ears like dwarf or gnome, goblin or fay. It was somewhat startling for me when it became issue actually. This is a sentiment the writing staff agrees with so I assumed (wrongfully, I can be naïve) it would not be problem.

Btw, this whole thread conflating two entirely different issues is interesting, since different people argue different arguments. From the title it would seem the main issue would be the exposure of NSFW mods to a wider audience. But since most of the people in this thread don't find it that big of a deal, they try to reinforce their argument with the ultra extreme tangent of naked lalas. Since most people don't care about naked lalas (in the same manner noone cares about naked dogs), an even more extreme tangent is pushed that tries to correlate lalas to children.

In it's core, a lala is a virtual doll. It's a doll designed for grown women to play dress up and relive their childhood. It's also a means for grown men to indulge themselves in doll playing, under no society pressure that discouraged them from playing with dolls. Normal people don't have any particular emotional reaction if they happen to see a naked doll. And in the ultra extreme (and unlike case) where any pedophile is attracted to virtual dolls, good for him/her, if they can control their vice by going after something that isn't even real.

People need to realize, there's absolutely not real way for SE to effectively ban mods.

Even if they updated the launcher to scan your game folder (which no one one should honestly want them to do), the best they could do is temporarily ban them with each major patch. Since no matter what the do, the mod developers will find a way around it.
