Although I don't presume to speak for everyone who plays FFXIV, I am very sure that generally speaking, 'the community' does not support these things.

And most decent people with common sense know that the vast majority of role players, even ERPs don't want anything to do with children.

Again, blanket labelling huge numbers of people as weird or perverted who just want to enjoy fantasy role play with other consenting adults doesn't help.

A solution would be to create an adult only server (age verified) for role players but we know SE doesn't want to even publicly acknowledge this sort of thing goes on, lest it damages their brand.

So round and round we go, having the same circular arguments every time this sort of thread comes up.

It happens because of the disproportionate amount of pedophilia-related scandals that have come out of the Lalafell community over the years. There's a mysteriously large crossover between people that are into lalafells, and people that are into shota/loli content, wonder why that is?

To this day, some of the top ranking people in the various Lalafell discords are people that used to be openly involved in that underworld.

Yes, as Artistic depictions of minors having sex is illegal in most places, Both the US and the UK will seize your computer and toss you in jail for doing just that. Japan also has strict laws on this as well, but the age range is lower. Basically all the times you hear about pedo groups getting locked up, about half of those groups are not sharing actual pictures but sharing artistic depictions of minors having sex.

US Federal Law on the subject.

In addition, Section 1466A of Title 18, United State Code, makes it illegal for any person to knowingly produce, distribute, receive, or possess with intent to transfer or distribute visual representations, such as drawings, cartoons, or paintings that appear to depict minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and are deemed obscene

UK Law which is not as specific which means even less likely to get away with it. (Not going to put the actual law up as it has multiple banned words. So I'm quoting the interpretation of the law from the Homeoffice.

the portrayal must be explicit and realistic, and thus artistic representations, even if deemed pornographic and obscene, are unlikely to be caught.

I feel it is pertinent to mention from what I understand elezen undergo (and finish) puberty slightly later than other races (barring perhaps viera?) so the twins while adults in terms of years and responsibility, still possess fairly young bodies.
