You are NOT and i repeat myself just to be clear >NOT< above the law just cause you do shit online. Your intentions doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what the parents do. If you do stuff that is against the law none of these feble excuses you spit out here will protect you in front of a judge.

Laws are not absolute so why believe in them absolutely? This mindset is confusing for me though it might just because I grew up in an rural area and my parents taught me the system does not offer absolute protection from all the horrors of the world. As such justice is rarely ever granted to many. Especially in cases with child molestation my mother was a prosecutor and the reality is that often times many cases did not end up to court. Due to police letting their emotions get the better of them and cutting corners or no physical evidence can often be found and testimony from a child victim are generally viewed as un reliable their story changes details get altered and or their desire to please adults poison their testimony. Among other reasons, so question remains why trust the law with such a thing?

Crimes do happen you are right and because of such why not do more to mitigate the potential risk on a personal level?

I actually disagree with that take. If the game is being platformed as something safe for kids, it better damn well be safe for kids. Now we can have the conversation about whether or 'this' particular issue constitutes a concern, but that's another point. However, if porn becomes directly accessible through mainstream avenues that people don't have to search for via 3rd party resources then that's a breach of the game's rating system and isn't something I'd want to defend in court if someone escalates issues to that level.

But, when someone signs up for their kid to play a game like this they don't expect their child to ever encounter "M" rated mature content. Blaming "parenting" is a rather hollow position if the community is working to corrupt, pervert, and/or expose people to things that aren't suited for a "T" for teen game.

What your saying would be true in an ideal world but unfortunately that is not the case. Sure it is rated for T so people should act accordingly but that is not the case and to expect it be so is extremely naive and dangerous in the case of a parent. This is the real world not a bubble.

Well, then judge yourself, too. You re entering dungeons with potential minors or children without asking them if they are actually old enough to play this game. Its like building a sand castle on a playground with someone else's children. Tell me, thats not creepy... .

The differences are two fold. One, 4 man dungeon content is sanctioned by the game creators and rated by my country's rating board. Two, I don't communicate or interact beyond just doing my job/role and leaving the dungeon.

This is the real world and this entire notion of do not blame the victim is a strange one. The reality is in many cases the victim could have done something different that could have help mitigate their own personal risk. This is not to say tye victim is at fault for the action done to them but they are at fault for not taking steps to mitigate their risk factors.

Just view it akin to to someone crying about having their car stolen when they left the keys in the car. Sure the person who stole the car is majority and fault but can we say the person who left the keys in the car is not 100% at fault? If you want to use age as an aspect that makes it different then say it is a 16 year old who owned the car.

At the core we are responsible to do what we can to minimize our own personal risk. Rules and laws do not provide sufficient protection it is up to us to make up the difference.

I generally view strangers as NPC's :P So also never had a problem. NPC's do not have rights. :P

I think some have a hard time wrapping their heads around that the modding community uses mods for things other than perving on children. Let's just ignore the fact that Lalafell NSFW mods are basically taboo and will get you blacklisted by the entire community...
