Question about the Origin of Omega and Midgarsomr

I just completed the Omega raids for the first time and had a question that I really can't find a clear answer for on google. They keep mentioning that Omega's world and the Dragonstar were at war, are these different shards of the source? Or just different planets?

They made it seem they Omega just straight up flew from its world to ours so im kind of confused.

As far as we know, these are different planets of the Source's cosmos. At the time this storyline was written, the dev. team actually wasn't sure how far into the cosmic fabric the Great Sunderering's effects had spread, so they were operating under the assumption at the time that only the cosmic fabric around the planet itself is broken and Omega/Midgardsormr's homeworlds are off in the prime universe somewhere.

But beware that there is a small chance this could be retconned later specifically because they didn't know enough to clarify one way or the other. I say small chance because the alternative would mean ... what 28 copies now? That's too many Omegas even for them.

Had they been different shards of the Source, it would meant Midgardsormr himself is Sundered, and that would mean there would be dragons on the First aside from the anomality that is Archaeotania -- a concept, so not an actual dragon, even if dragonlike -- and the gwibers, which are also creations, but there aren't. So Midgardsormr's home planet must be something else other than the Source, which it is: the Dragonstar, the planet that can be seen and studied from Hydaelyn as per the AST and general HW quests.

As for Omega, it flew from its original planet to the Dragonstar during the War and then to Hydaelyn, through space. The pre-Alphascape 4.0 cutscene explains Omega's voyage.

So we can infer they're both Unsundered, having been physically distant from the event that resulted in the Sundering.

In Omega raid questline they literally say they hail from two distant stars that are at war with each other. In O10 we see the landscape of the Dragonstar and its nowhere like Hydaelyn ( Also the skybox as well )
Also, the fires on Midgardsormr mane were no more because of how long he had to fly from the Dragonstar to Hydaelyn. As well as Omega losing the path to his homeworld and being officially lost in space.
In addition, while there are dragonlike creatures on the first. There is no single actual Dragon or any signs of them, which combined with all the aforementioned. We can safely assume The Dragonstar and Omega Homeworld are not shards and in fact, are actual planets.

Now speaking of the source and the shards. I wonder if the shards and the source exist physically in the same space or not.
If no then this is interesting and I want an official answer.

I've seen people elsewhere insist that Omega and Midgar came from another universe via the Rift, because Omega has access to the rift, but from what I remember of the actual questline it seemed like they just traveled a long distance through space in FFXIV's universe rather than interdimensional travel.
