If FFXVII is a new online game... would you move inmediately?

So FFXVII should be the next MMORPG.

If Yoshi-P launch a new FF online game (in 2023) and Endwalkers is the last expansion... what would you do?

1. You'd move inmediately?
2. You'd keep playing FFXIV for a while?
3. You'd play both if can have a discount for the pack?
4. You'd play both no matter what?

Thats an interesting question. Both FFXI and FFXIV are financially successfull. I wouldnt be surprised if FFXVII would be the next FF-MMORPG.

On one hand, I would love to play a new FF MMORPG with better graphics, better combat and bigger worlds.
On the other hand, FFXIV set the bar extremely high. It would be a extremely big challenge to keep up with the content, features and music of FFXIV. And I would miss Eorzea somehow. I cant imagine how it can be better than FFXIV, when no other MMORPG couldnt.

I would play it, but with the premise to have the same races from FFXIV (like having all races from FFXI in FFXIV - Elezen and Elvaan for example).
It would be great to transfer the character from FFXIV to FFXVII.

I would play both I guess.

Well, SE hasn't abandon FFXI I think and many people still played it. I don't have much time on FFXIV so I'd really love a "pack" where you could play both games for a discount, so you can alternate between both if you want (for your friends, for the lot of content of FFXIV maybe).

Probably not, but I *would* be interested to see what the current races would look like redesigned for a new game... though if the transition from XI to XIV is anything to go by they'd be even safer and boring...

I seriously doubt SE will ever bother with the expense of making a third FF MMO, given they're basically stretched running two simultaneously already, and both are still making money for them (XIV especially so). MMOs are no longer the 'in' thing in gaming and given the current uncertainty in the world at the moment, it's unlikely they're going to take another gamble on a MMO, especially with so many failing (this is why SE has lately been releasing a lot of mobile social games, as that is where the big money is right now).

Of course, stranger things have happened though....

I currently play both PSO2 and PSO2: NGS. NGS came out a couple of months ago and is still in the early content stage so I still go back to the old game to continue completing it when I run out of stuff to do in NGS. I think I'd just do the same in this case as well.

If Yoshi-P had as much influence in it as he does in XIV I wouldn't move at all.

Besides I don't want another game with the same design philosophy as XIV.
If someone wants a XIV like MMORPG they should stick with XIV and XVII should be a different experience.

Furthermore I have zero interest in a new MMO if it's going to involve hack 'n slash combat and homogenized job play.

The next FF mmo should not involve Yoshi P at all. I think he should stick with FFXIV and improve upon it further and further. They should let someone else try their hand at directing an MMO. Maybe someone like Tetsuya Nomura.
