dude just level up

Maybe it's because people tend to change weapons so quickly pre level 50? I also know before they added the Proto Ultima thingie to one of the 24 mans, you could actually get Blood Sword as a drop from a chest there, dunno if that's related though.
As for PvP gear, they used to have a Morale Stat that was only for PvP, but they scrapped a lot of what they were trying with PvP stuff (Including orange materia like Aurelie Kiss materia/ect that only gave status resistance points). So it was easier for them to remove the morale stat. And part of SE's argument for them not changing those kind of things are if someone had some of that gear as their current equipment before quitting/taking a long break, and they'd be kind of screwed if they came back to a level 1 weapon and nothing else they could get.
Please show support for chocobo boots to be added -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/323512-Suggestion-for-an-item-to-be-added-to-gold-saucer-Chocobo-Boots
Unhappy with how they implemented Mahjong? -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/381358-Mahjong-is-the-most-depressing-mini-game-you-ve-added-to-XIV

We have heard your concerns and we hereby ignore them.

easy, they were implemented at different times of development and the inconvinence is so miniscule that its not even worth "fixing". having some gear be level 50 just means theyre a goal for players to look forward to.
like i dislike how the modern aesthetics npc in the saucer only has one copy of modern aesthetics while the other npc has like 5 of them. is it an inconsistancy worth addressing? not really.

The PvP gear i do not mind, it is a legit alternative of gearing decently for PvE if you reach lv50/60 a bit early and have no gil/tomes.Title. It seems like newer items follow the Lvl 1, iLvl1 scheme, but older items do not! Would definitely appreciate this being fixed to reflect them as glamour items & to be uniform across all items.
Reason for the thread: Playing on an Alt, wanted to get a Blood Sword to glam over my GLD/PLD weapons. Cannot do that until Level 50 because ????.
If its acceptable, you could also do this to certain PvP items. It seems like, again, newer items follow the Level 1, iLvl 1 Formula, but others do not.
All I'd really like is consistency. I can and will level up, but in the meantime, I'm prohibited from using certain items, allowed to use others, for no real rhyme or reason.
I would encourage new players in getting some wolf mark along the way during ARR, so when you finish or almost done with base ARR and do side stuff you have a decent set of ilv110.

I never noticed, but yeah, if it's just a glam item there is no reason to have a level requirement on it.
Gold Saucer is not Level 50 content. This restriction is makes no sense.
In the olden days you could not unlock the ability to glamour items until you were level 50 and the convenience of the glamour dresser simply did not exist - you directly applied glamours to worn items using up prisms each time. It is my assumption that the item you query was added during this time period - a time when people did not really bother with glamouring alt jobs until they got to 50 simply because of the constant need to use up what were actually quite expensive (and specialist) prisms at the time.
Yes it does not make much sense but then it also does not make much sense that you cannot start out as a rogue despite it being in game for years or suddenly get the ability to fly in ARR zones without any explanation as to why or how.

Since they changed both the PVP system and the glamour system, it causes no harm to change the lvl/ilvl to 1. Add this to all the little minor fixes the game could benefit.
