Raspberry Heaven is a beginner-friendly LS on Balmung.

There is a search function to find players, but it's only sometimes used. =d

Try shouting for a low-level party in Ul'dah on weekends or evenings (if you're pst-est), and I bet you'll get a full party within 15 mins.

I agree with Ark Nova... good to hear the opinions of a brand new player. All of your points are really valid, and getting into a friendly LS will help to mitigate the frustrations your having in-game.
