Add-ons or mods were never really "disallowed" or "allowed". Yoshi can close an eye on these because they don't pose a major problem and they follow the fight club rules.

To be honest, this is like the bible. Jesus said: dont kill. Just love eachother. While many people did that, other people formed a church and started a crusade.


Many tools and plugins are kinda useless in my opinion. If you depend on a tool to call out stuff, you should reconsider why you want to raid. I wonder if people can actually say from themself to clear a hard fight, when they did that with support wheels. But on the other hand, very few plugins are making life alot easier, just by adding a feature which is missing in the game very badly (for housing, glamours or taking screenshots).

Just a few examples:
- Do we have a glamour log? - No.
- Can we place housing furniture everywhere in our room? - Only by using glitches. Otherwise no.
- Does the game tell us how we perform? - Nope. Its clear or wipe.
- Can we add DirectX effects ingame? - No

Bottom line is:
On the surface/professional level they're not allowed but they don't know what we're doing on our PCs nor will they ever install anything to find that out. If you get reported for putting out someone's numbers, you'll get hit with a harassment penalty. This is basically fight club rules. Do what you want but don't use it to lock people out of content/shame them or you will get smacked in the face with a GM visit.

Whether or not someone wants to use those tools to raid and your opinion on why they're raiding is irrelevant. People can play the game how they want as long as they're not hurting others via harassment or shaming, same as you can. I personally don't use them to assist with fights but at the end of the day, I literally could care less if someone in my party is. It doesn't affect my life if someone wants help remembering their rotation nor do I feel any sort of superiority to that person for not using them.
