Anyone having a problem with the Small races now showing up on screen?

I am doing "Arms Race" and Raaka Maaka isn't showing up on screen, same thing with Culture Shock with the Merchants. Anyone know what's wrong?

Sorry I couldn't think of their names, so sorry if I offended anyone. The race is called the Lalafell and for some reason they are not showing up on screen. It's kind of annoying since I had hoped to finished the quests needed to get my own chocobo.

Lalafell are meant to be heard, not seen. They're also suitable for food and punting.



Its probably a game engine issue. There's a limit to how many characters are on screen at once so someone could be standing next to you and you might not see them.

It's not just npcs...This apperently happened during an exp party I was in awhile ago but I can't confirm if it was actually happening. For whatever reason someone in the party couldn't see or target the lala dragoon who was in the party as well. He just changed gear and *poof* gone. I could see him just fine so not sure what was really going on

Was the person able to see the Lalafell dragoon eventually? I still can't see the Lalafell, I've tried relogging and playing the game at different graphics settings. None of the Lalafell NPC's are loading and I don't think I can see the PC Lalafell either...or atleast I haven't seen any so far.

It's kind of weird but frustrating too because I can't finish the quests I need to be able to get my chocobo...I guess I can't wait a few days till 1.22a....

server lag increased on this patch. lucky we have a few more months of this.
it takes longer to transfer items & there breif pauses during other stuff once again.

There could be 3 reasons.
1.) Lalafell players sometimes just vanish the same way players of other races do, either after getting ressurected or after changing gear they are no longer displayed until they change gear again or you relog.
2.)Like someone before me already said, there's a limit on how many characters can be displayed. You were probably just unlucky and it was always the Lalafells which weren't displayed
3.) Ever thought your camera options might have resetted? There's an option with which you can decide on how "high" your camera is supposed to be..and maybe it's so high that Lalafell are BELOW the lower edge of your screen

....4.) Maybe your game is just broken.
If that's the case, reinstalling should help.
